Shaw Speed and Custom, rear fender handmade at Shaw Speed and Custom,
battery cover, rear inner fender and regulator cover fabricated at Shaw
Speed, frame stripped welds cleaned, and all repainted. Rear swingarm
modified at Shaw Speed and Custom for driveside sprocket and rotor assembly.

full engine and transmission covers. Performance Machine forward controls
and master cylinder and switch gear assembly. 1930 speedster handlebars,
Vance and Hines exhaust system, brass footpegs and handgrips, glass/brass
air breather 0571 garage, lowered rear suspension, handcrafted seat on
Roland Sands seat pan. H-D rotors and wheels stripped modified and rebuilt

Боббер «The Jefferson» построил американский специалист Джо Купер (Joe Cooper)
из компании «Cooper Smithing Co». В качестве донора Джо использовал мотоцикл
Harley-Davidson XL1200 1999 года выпуска. Практически всё, кроме двигателя
заменено или переделано.
Среди деталей ручной работы можно отметить топливный бак и заднее крыло. Оба
элемента отполированы и покрыты никелем, как и выхлопные трубы. Также вручную
сделан руль, масляный резервуар, защита цепи и вилка спрингер. Стоковая рама Harley-Davidson переделана в «hardtail», как на старинных Харлеях.

The Jefferson features a hand formed fuel
tank and rear fender which have been polished and nickel plated along
with the custom exhaust pipes. Other hand formed parts include the
handlebars, oil tank, chain guard, springer front end and plug wire
guides; all finished in copper.
Electrical components on the Jefferson are hidden below the frame rails
in a custom battery box. From there, the small lithium battery supplies
power via vintage cloth-wrapped wiring routed externally throughout the
bike.
The stock frame has been converted to a hardtail while the neck has been
raked to make high-speed riding more stable with the springer front
suspension.
Dubbed "The Jefferson" by my wife, noting the bikes nickel finish and
our coined President. |

Швейцарец Дэнни Шнайдер из бернской мастерской Hard Nine Choppers называет
себя не иначе как «олдскульным фристайлером». Причем этот завсегдатай шоу
Mooneyes в Иокогаме действительно известен в Японии и Америке. Перед вами –
его D’MX с 750-кубовым «Флэтхедом» (читай – «валуевским» мотором) 1942 года
выпуска, навеянный, по словам автора, маунтинбайками и кроссовыми
мотоциклами. Рама и вилка-спрингер – от того же «Харлея» 1942 года, но
изрядно модифицированные. Трехступенчатая коробка передач – от трайка
HarleyDavidson ServiCar. 21-дюймовые колеса и задний тормоз (передний
отсутствует) – тоже «харлеевские». Одна из немногих европейских деталей –
топливный бак от мопеда преклонного возраста марки Puch.

CUSTOM "HAND MADE PARTS" BY DANNY: gas tank:the sides are
hand-hammered and the top is from a vintage Puch Velux mofa; oil tank:
includes the 6 volt battery "cause magneto ignition is against the law in
switzerland"; rear fender; footcontrols; shifter; air filter; headlight;
rear and front pegs; triple trees; frame and handle bars guards; seat plate;
all black colored parts.
MODIFIED PARTS: both axis incl. wheel bearings to fit the original drum
brake from 1942; rear brake; fork springs; heads, shaved cause its a
flathead right? pipes; Dellorto carb jets; Yamaha YZ 250 gas grip.
ORIGINAL BMX PARTS: handlebar, rear pegs.

filter with custom cast housing, hand made ceramic coated shotgun pipes.
One off: Two piece alumimun fender, fender struts, foot controls, jockey
shift with 69 Camaro Hurst lever, I-beam styled front fork legs, wingnut
rear axle, Mooneyes dragster gas pedals used as floorboards with custom
mounts.
Custom features: Heavily modified HD sportster tank, domed oil tank/battery
box, Riveted (to match fender) and polished billet headlight, tuck and
rolled seat.
Colth wiring, Stainless Steel hardware and Mooneyes fuild lines used
throughout. |

This bike has several hand fabricated items such as the
hammer down tube, foot controls, top motor mount, plate mount, oil tank,
front fender mounts, rear fender struts and seat pan with hand tooled and
stitched covering as well as some slight molestations such as the heat
shields, exhaust tip mounting ring, tank insets, coil pockets and internal
cables and such. |

There is over 2600 hours of labor put into this bike. The
bags, side covers, secondary covers were all made in metal first and then
reverse molded into fiberglass.
All parts were hand made at MRI including bags, side covers, convertible
covers, exhaust, fuel tank, center stand, outer fairing, inner fairing,
front fender. Bags are operated by actuators. Bags and side covers can be
easily removed and the long or convertible covers can be installed using no
bolts. Dash has TV, CD, GPS all included in deck unit.
Finally a bagger that can be a custom also. |
